Nozzles Designs For Tank Cleaning - Static Nozzles
These nozzles, as the name would suggest, are stationary. They rely on a very wide spray angle to ensure that all areas of the tank are cleaned. This wide angle can be achieved either by having a single nozzle with a wide angle or an array of nozzles with smaller spray angles pointing in different directions.
Multi-headed nozzles
LEM series. Uses a series of full cone nozzles that produce a low impact but wide spray pattern. This type is best used for rinse type applications.
CLUMP series. Uses a series of maxipass nozzles that give a very large free passage allowing for the spraying of fluids normally prone to blocking.

The Clump Spraying
Single nozzles
TW12-TW20. These nozzles are full cone spray pattern of the spiral design. They work by impinging the water jet on concentric rings of a metal or plastic spiral shape. This impact shears the fluid into relatively fine droplets.
By varying the geometry of the spiral shape different spray angles can be achieved making this family of nozzles extremely versatile. The TW12-TW20 range of nozzle used for tank washing applications are engineered so that the spiral produces up to a 180ο spray pattern, meaning that if inserted at the top of a tank it will clean the whole tank.
This type of nozzle produces a relatively low impact cleaning spray and is suitable only for fairly small vessels up to about 2 metres in diameter. Also if the ceiling of the tanks needs cleaning this nozzle will not be suitable as it only produces a 180ο spray pattern.
TW1 series
An ultrawide angle full cone nozzle that delivers a backwards spray (see diagram) of up to 120 degrees. A distinct advantage of the TW spiral nozzle design is that it will fit through smaller openings than other tank wash nozzles can effectively.
The TW1 spraying
SVTW spray balls. These nozzles consist of a metal sphere with multiple orifices. The spray is ejected in every direction resulting in a low impact rinse for the whole tank.
