Fire Extinguishing Systems
Engineering consideration 6 - Spraying in high temperature environments
Obviously any effective fire fighting system must perform in a hot environment. The temperatures in even small fires can build extremely rapidly and one must be confident that the deluge, sprinkler or misting system will still perform when needed. This is generally a matter of correct materials selection.
Bete can produce nozzles in a variety of temperature resistant alloys. The use of specialist alloys needs to be matched against calculations of likely maximum fire temperature. Different fuels will burn at different temperatures and so the nature of the environment being protected will impact on which materials the nozzles should be made from.
