Nozzles for Tank Washing and CIP

Engineering Consideration - Glass-lined or other fragile tanks

Glass-lined tanks are commonly used in chemical processes for their acid resistance properties.  A breakage in the glass lining can cost many thousand or tens of thousands of pounds to repair.  Whilst a nozzle that is fitted well onto a cleaning lance should remain in place, sometimes accidents do occur and nozzles come loose and fall into the tank, so it is often not advisable to use hard metal nozzles for cleaning.

Bete produce a range of PTFE tank cleaning nozzles that are unlikely to cause any damage to glass lining even if they did fall.  PTFE is also highly resistant to chemical attack and so is really an ideal material nozzle operating in chemical plant cleaning.  The only downside is that its maximum recommended operating temperature is 93 degrees meaning high temperature cleaning is not possible.
